Maine landscape painting and video demonstration. ‘View of Stonington, Maine No.2′
This colorful and expressive acrylic Maine landscape painting measures 22″ x 15″ and is painted on paper.
I painted a similar piece several weeks ago but decided to revisit it and make a few changes to the composition on this attempt. The video demonstration will expose the painting process and you will see how a reject painting becomes a vital part of the construction. For some strange reason rejects make painting and envisioning the subject much easier. I can look at a reject and all it’s chaotic colors and strokes and start to chisel it into the new subject. Starting with a blank white sheet of paper results in a stiff and trite painting, but does pad my reject pile which is a good thing. I like for my paintings to have a messy but structured look to them and this one is a pretty good example.
So this is obviously a two part demo so grab a cup of java or some popcorn and relax while I paint this Maine landscape for you.
Lights, camera, action….

Hi Robert
I would like to see this video, but it is not possible, because it is closed from Sony Music Entertainement, because you have music in it……
Best regards, Fredi
