This Virginia landscape painting measures 22″ x 9.5″ and is sold unframed. It was painted on 09-23-2010 with acrylic on paper.

Still forging ahead with landscape painting but decided this time to switch states and focus on some images from Newport News, Virginia. It was late in the evening when the pics were taken but just enough light to make it work. After noticing the scene I knew right away it would be a great composition so I snapped a few for the archives and here is the first result. I’ll go back later and do a larger painting but for a twenty-minute sketch I’m satisfied with the results for now. I’m letting some of these good sketches build up so I can concentrate on some larger works when I’m in the mood.
