Seek-And-Find Contest Is Officially Over. Sorry, No Winner This Time.

Contemporary Maine Seascape Painting

Here’s How The Contest Works

I’ll post a new clue everyday. The new clue will be posted just below in the ‘Clue’ area.

The clues will help you find the obvious mistake.

The error can be found on any page this website.

If the answer is on a blog post, it will not be any older than three weeks.

The error can be found on these three site: Etsy, Flickr, or You Tube.

All answers must be posted here in the comments area.

I’ll answer the guesses ASAP, so please be patient.

The painting at the top of this post is the prize.

Contest ends Thursday at midnight EST.

You can only win once every two months.

Inspired by plein air painting in Maine, but done in Virginia?

I have a guess! The painting entitled “Modern Seascape Painting Featuring Red Scallop Boats” has a tag that includes the words “…original-landscape-paintings…”. ????

P.S. the painting my guess applies to was posted on Mar 21. Got my fingers crossed!

      Hey Debbie!
Thanks for guessing, but that’s not it! I’ll give everyone one last clue. The answer is not on my website:) Good luck, the contest ends at midnight!

Awww shoot! Maybe my guess is wrong, because I see there are two other seascape paintings with the same ‘landscape’ reference in the tag.

Under your name, it lists you as being a Virginia artist, but your bio shows you as moving to South Walton in Florida, but never returning to your home state. Also in one Virginia seascape, you had a misspelling of “form” instead of “from”

      hey Trisha.
Thanks for guessing and they’re valid answers. However, not what I’m looking for this time. I’ll update the bio and fix that typo.

    is it this painting?

the tags include virginia landscape and lobster boat. It IS a virginia landscape, but there are no lobster (bottomfeeders) boats (from Downeast) in the tags

If nothing else, you are getting some wonderful help cleaning up and editing your sites. Offer us a chance at a free painting and we go bonkers checking. I have a feeling we will discover this is a large error staring us smack dab in the face. It is fun to go exploring into the bowels of your sites.

Om Flickr, I did notice that you have several were the link to your website has an extra space in it. It will have a gap so it reads “.c om”

    Another minor detail.

      Trisha,

that’s not it. I’ll check out those flickr links and fix them for future contests.
I believe the dressage horse is under ‘horses. Not 100% sure but I think that’s where I filed it on my website.

I’ll check out that ‘red jacket’ piece too. But for now you’re getting cold. Remember the first clue…VA is for lovers.

Oh, and by the way, what is that painting of a red jacketed solo rider doing in with the horse racing paintings? I would have that one along with the dressage horse painting in a different section. Speaking of which, where did you put that dressage rider painting any way?

Well, for believing that Virginia is for lovers, you don’t have any paintings that I could find that have male and female images in at the same time. All the figurative paintings I see are of individuals from quarterbacks to nudes.

There is a seascape that is referred to as a landscape on both Flickr and Etsy. It is two boats in a harbor and was painted from a photo taken Sep 6, 2009. Also, the painting size is given once as 1×14 and another time as 11×15. But I don’t see the same painting on You Tube…although there is a demonstration on You Tube that also says it is a landscape, but it’s a seascape.

I don’t really think this is *it*, but I’ve been obsessing looking for *it* and can’t help myself!

Whew, that was a hard one! I certainly see that on Etsy…but I don’t see the Maine tag on Flickr (maybe it was already fixed)? Can’t find the painting on You Tube either, but could be just me (actually didn’t see tags there either?).

Love your work so much! Saw some things I hadn’t seen before while searching for this one!

I hope you decide to teach one day! Will you put me on a list for your very first class!?!?! Have a good day!

The answer is only on one site (Etsy)and not all three sites. It could have been on either my website, you tube, flickr or Etsy…but not all three just for future reference.
I’ll teach one day, probably next year sometime. Thanks again for participating.
